Sumato's RAG platform adds Assamese, Bengali and Hindi document search
RAG knowledge search can now answer questions asked in Assamese, Bengali and Hindi, and retrieve passages written in any of them.
Many departments in the region keep circulars, notices and manuals in more than one language. Until now, people searching them had to guess which language a rule was written in.
With this update, a question asked in Assamese, Bengali, Hindi or English is matched against documents in all four. Answers are generated in the language of the question, and every answer still cites the original passage and page.
OCR for scanned documents in these scripts has also been improved, so older scanned circulars become searchable alongside newer digital files.
